Winter Breaks in Pitlochry
Maybe time for a Winter Break? Pitlochry is a Fabulous Option
As you draw the curtains on ever-shortening days, thoughts inevitably scan over images of the “somewhere else” that you maybe picked up online or tv. Home’s great, but, just sometimes, a wee break seems to be occupying your attention. A winter break in Pitlochry might be just the ticket especially if you can pick up a nice wee offer in the process.
Big Discounts from February to Easter
It makes sense to protect your holiday funds for the big Summer holiday, but as we emerge from the darker days of deep Winter, an economical break in a beautiful setting has untold value in terms of a good old battery re-charge. Take a look at these rates and maybe consider combining them with some of the excellent Winter productions at Pitlochry Theatre or some sight-seeing of the stunning scenery in and around the town.
Pitlochry Winter Breaks at Rosemount Hotel
Stay Somewhere Cosy, Friendly and Comfortable
At Rosemount, we like to think you’ll be visiting friends, rather than staying at a starchily formal, or soul-less, and template-modelled franchise. It becomes almost at odds with the relationship with some of our returning guests that we must charge them. Many of our visitors become so much like family!

Lovely break
Stayed here for a Monday to Friday break. Set in a quieter street in Pitlochry but only a 5 minute walk to the Main Street. The hotel is very friendly and spotless. Made our cockapoo Riley feel really welcome. Food and breakfasts were excellent. Couldn’t fault anything about the hotel. Big thank you to Keith, Anne Victor and Tatiana for making us feel special. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel. Christine and Bill

Pitlochry is a Great Winter Destination
So what does Pitlochry have to offer the winter traveller?
Firstly, there’s no shortage of stunning scenery, combined with a sheltered location that seems to escape the worst of what the Atlantic ocean seems to choose to throw at the UK nowadays. Consequently, you’ll often happen upon lochs with mirror-glass surfaces, reflecting some of the most stunning scenery in the UK. It’s a walker’s delight and leisurely car tours that take in the likes of Loch Tummel, Loch Tay, Glen Lyon, the Cairngorms National Park and Loch Rannoch will take your breath away.
Another great outcome of being surrounded by mountain ranges in every direction is that Pitlochry lies in a rain shadow and its rainfall has often been quoted as being on a par with Kent. The weather often runs well to the positive side of the general forecast, giving great opportunities to enjoy the elements under the protective cloak of a sheltered location.
Pet Friendly Winter Breaks in Pitlochry
After many years of careful attention to the subtle needs of the pet friendly holiday market, with particular emphasis on ensuring that Rosemount is a great place to stay for ALL guests, we feel we can rightly claim to offer a well-managed pet-friendly holiday operation. Dogs are treated as (rather spoiled) guests at Rosemount. They may join their humans at mealtimes and enjoy the prospect of a network of fabulous walks that surround us in every direction
Stuff to Do in Pitlochry in Winter
There’s no end of visual delight in every direction around Pitlochry. The town and local area offer days of leisurely strolls through woodland, along river and loch, up hill and through the glens. Add to this the manifold short trips by car and the whole of central Scotland is alive with possibility.
Take a Walk in a Winter Paradise
It’s easy to forget, as we wrap ourselves up besides the fire in the colder months, that the best stuff is actually on the other side of the front door. . . . . Outdoors, out there and outstandingly beautiful!
It’s great to see the rosy-cheeked glow and bright eyes of our guests as they return from an invigorating stroll through some of the best Winter countryside in the UK. Apart from the jaw-droppingly gorgeous scenery, it’s easier to spot wildlife once the Summer foliage is away.
