THE CRUCIBLE

One of the most powerful pieces of 20th century theatre, the tale finds parallels in McCarthyism, portraying the effects of religious and political repression by governments and institutions and the use of fear as a means by which to influence and control society. Its resonance is not outdated, by any means.
