ski scotland glenshee accommodation

Photo shared from Glenshee ski resort

It’s great news that Glenshee Ski Centre and Cairngorm Mountain now have loads of snow for ski-ing (See our facebook page for daily updates). So, it’s time to Ski Glenshee and Cairngorm from Rosemount Hotel Pitlochry! Check out our ski Scotland break rates in the availability/review panel opposite.

Our facebook site has regular updates and ski conditions Scotland and links to the ski resorts web sites and webcams.

Glenshee is our closest set of slopes, with Cairngorm coming up close behind. This makes us perfect for ski accommodation because, each day, you can check conditions and just choose whether to head up the A9 to Cairngorm (50 minutes) or east to Glenshee. Generally the roads in Pitlochry are well cleared and access to the slopes from there is good, though we always recommend visiting the resort pages daily to check conditions.

Over the past few years, Scottish weather conditions have been great for snowsports – giving great excuse for a few days adrenalin-filled short breaks or an ideal opportunities to finely tune skills before taking the winter sports holiday abroad.

Glenshee has a great deal to offer in this respect. It is the UK’s largest ski-ing and snowboarding resort with a huge choice of terrain for all standards of skiers and snowboarders. It covers a vast area and has good height, allowing the longest run of well over a mile. There are a choice of 36 runs and 22 lifts with a new one on the way. The chairlift comes right down to the carpark around which are located the café (open all year), shop, ski hire, ticket office and nursery slopes. There is also a snowsports school, ski patrol and accessories shop. Tuition opportunities include private individual, class or private group. The Base café is open all year. Lessons are available from the Glenshee Board School and Fresh Tracks Ski and Snowboard School.
