There are the three Lochs – Tummel, Tay and Rannoch, even a train trip from Rannoch Station to Mallaig and back, via the Harry Potter viaduct. Nominated as one of the top ten rail trips in the world, this might be a novel highlight to your group’s visit to the area.
A little further afield, but ideal for one large day trip out are places such as Glencoe, Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Fort William.

Newtonmore and Kingussie
It’s best to set aside a day for visiting Newtonmore and Kingussie in order to have enough time to experince their delights. Don’t miss the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie and Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore. We recommend visitng these morning and afternoon to be free by 4pm for Working Sheepdogs at Kncraig, followed by tea at Loch Insch Watersports Centre, hopefully catching a spectacular sunset over the head of Loch Insch. Both Working Sheepdogs and Loch Insch Sports Centre are located in Kincraig.
