    Places to visit on your Hogmanay Break Pitlochry

    Your emphasis on your Hogmanay Break in Pitlochry may well be be on an “eat, drink and be merry theme”. However, we urge visitors to also set aside some time to explore the stunning scenery that surrounds us in every direction. We delight in taking time to inform our guests of the best places to visit, depending on whether they wish to drive, cycle or walk.

    This 2 or 3 night package commences 3oth or 31st December, but we also offer discounted rates for shorter  stays the 29th December and 2nd and 3rd of January. Dinner is included the 30th, 31st and 1st January with optional dinner during extensions to the basic package.,


    3oth December

    A chance to settle in for the evening and maybe explore the beautiful town of Pitlochry, then wind down for a convivial and cosy evening in, with a nice meal at Rosemount and fireside chat.

    31st December

    8.45 until 9.45 am.  A delicious breakfast is served

    7pm until the Wee Small Hours    Hogmanay Dinner with traditional scottish music to entertain, followed by dancing and a traditional Welcome to the New Year

    Cock-a-Leekie Soup with hot, buttery crusted roll

    Cream Cheese and Black Truffle Tortellini with a Creamy Mushroom Sauce

    Scottish Smoked Salmon and Lemon Scented Cream Cheese Terrine
    with Capers and a Tomato Salsa a delicate lattice of flavour and texture

    Baked Figs and Feta Filo Tartlets with a Sweet Chilli Sauce.


    8oz Rib Eye Steak served with a Cognac, Butter and Shallot Sauce, Dauphinoise Potatoes and Tender Stem Broccoli.

    Spiced Sausage, Ricotta and Lemon Stuffed Chicken with Baby Asparagus, Petits Pois and Dauphinoise Potatoes. Drizzled with Lemon-infused Olive Oil

    Parchment-Baked Salmon stuffed with Saffron and Herb Rice with Baby Asparagus, Grilled Vine Tomatoes, Dauphinoise Potatoes and a Honey-Mustard Dressing

    Normandy Pork Succulent Pork chop finished with Apples, Apple Brandy and Cream

    Vegan Mushroom Wellington 


    Cranachan A Scottish favourite of whipped cream, folded with toasted hazelnuts, oatmeal,
    Drambuie and a little sugar and layered with forest berries

    Local fireworks light the sky from midnight onwards.  Our guests tend to enjoy this spectacle over a glass of mulled wine, warmed by our blazing garden fire-pits. We are a short walk from the town centre for those who wish to share the more robust celebrations of the town-centre bars. Alternatively, we have a welcome fireside to send a glow through your glass of malt whisky as you share conversation in the friendly atmosphere of our bar and lounge.

    1st January

    After your celebration into the early hours, we have a late morning brunch to lead us towards Pitlochry’s New Year’s Scotland Hogmanay Street Party, which is world famous, generating incredible atmosphere, good fun and camaraderie. Scotland’s friendly people and their liking for a great party are the stuff of legend. There is no better place in which to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new.

    On 1st of January guests may enjoy late brunch before the Famous Street Ceilidh in Pitlochry’s High Street

    2nd January

    A leisurely Breakfast sampling our well-praised Breakfast Buffet, followed by an opportunity to explore the stunning locality of Pitlochry. We also collaborate with the local outdoor activities centre and can arrange any of a host of thrilling outdoor adventures for you to enjoy.

    There is an option for all guests to dine with us should they wish. Naturally,  some may prefer to extend their day out and return to the welcome of our fireside a little later, and so today is a B&B offering with optional Dinner. The fire is lit and awaits your return from our day enjoying the stunning Perthshire sights. Warm your soul with some Winter Pimms or savour a fine malt and enjoy the company of new-found friends.

    Pitlochry Hogmanay Break 2023 –

    Prices for our  3-night Hogmanay Break – 3 Night’s DBB, with Hogmanay Dinner and Piper, New Year’s Day Brunch, Street Ceilidh  and option for dinner on any day that is an extension to the basic package.

    Tariff for Hogmanay (2 person rate – 3 nights)

    • Compact double room –  min 2 nights – £750 per room SOLD OUT
    • Regular double room  – min 3 nights DBB – £820 per room  SOLD OUT
    • Premium twin/double room  –  3 nights DBB –  £980 per room. 1 room now available for 2 Nights from £707 1 room left
    • Junior Suite – 3 nights DBB – £1155 per room  SOLD OUT

    Dogs are most welcome in all room types, with just a few rooms maintained as pet-free. There is an additional charge of £7.50 per dog per night, which includes a sausage at breakfast, a real scottish bagpiper, New year’s morning, to sing along with and lots of love and cuddles from our staff.

    Arrival 30th /31st December, depart 2nd/3rd/4th January.

    Bookable with £200 deposit, refundable only for cancellations before 1st November. The balance is due by 1st December and is, regrettably, non-refundable in case of cancellation. Holiday Cancellation Insurance is recommended for this particular break
