Places to visit on your Hogmanay Break Pitlochry
Your emphasis on your Hogmanay Break in Pitlochry may well be be on an “eat, drink and be merry theme”. However, we urge visitors to also set aside some time to explore the stunning scenery that surrounds us in every direction. We delight in taking time to inform our guests of the best places to visit, depending on whether they wish to drive, cycle or walk.
The 3-night package commences 3oth or 31st December, but we also offer discounted rates the 29th December and 2nd and 3rd of January. Dinner is available on any evening, however the package rate includes dinner Hogmanay Eve only
A chance to settle in for the evening and maybe explore the beautiful town of Pitlochry or wind down for a cosy evening in, with a nice meal at Rosemount and fireside chat.
8.45 until 9.45 am. A delicious buffet breakfast is served
4pm Join us for Tea Coffee and Cake
7pm Meet and Greet Pre-Dinner Cocktail and Canapes
8pm A 6 course Hogmanay Gala Dinner with traditional scottish music to entertain, followed by dancing and a piper before the bells.

Roasted Parsnip Soup with caramelised apples and hot, buttery crusted roll
Duck Liver Parfait with Smoked Duck Breast
Smoked Salmon and Avocado Salad – a delicate lattice of flavour and texture
Roasted Fillet of Beef with roasted garlic and mustard.
Served with roasted potatoes, home-made yorkshire pud and a vegetable medley
Chicken Balmoral Breast of chicken, stuffed with haggis, wrapped in bacon then roasted.
Served with seered leeks and clapshot
Pan fried Seabass and Scallops laced with a light froth of fish veloute.
Served with duchesse potatoes, grilled vine tomatoes and baby asparagus
Italian Peppers stuffed with herbed risotto and a basil lime sauce. With light green salad accompaniment
Cranachan A Scottish favourite of whipped cream, folded with toasted hazelnuts, oatmeal,
Drambuie and a little sugar and layered with forest berries
Lemon Posset with warmed blueberries and sugared almond shortbread
Rich Chocolate Torte deliciously indulgent
Fresh Fruit Salad topped with a quenelle of home-made ice cream
Tea or Freshly Ground Coffee with Scottish Tablet
Local fireworks light the sky from midnight onwards. We are a short walk from the town centre for those who wish to share the more robust celebrations of the town-centre bars. Alternatively, we have a welcome fireside to send a glow through your glass of malt whisky as you share conversation in the friendly atmosphere of our bar and lounge.
After your celebration into the early hours, we have a late morning brunch to lead us towards Pitlochry’s New Year’s Scotland Hogmanay Street Party, which is world famous, generating incredible atmosphere, good fun and camaraderie. Scotland’s friendly people and their liking for a great party are the stuff of legend. There is no better place in which to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new.
On 1st of January guests may enjoy late brunch before the Famous Street Ceilidh in Pitlochry’s High Street
A leisurely Breakfast sampling our well-praised Breakfast Buffet, followed by an opportunity to explore the stunning locality of Pitlochry. We also collaborate with the local outdoor activities centre and can arrange any of a host of thrilling outdoor adventures for you to enjoy.
There is an option for all guests to dine with us should they wish. Naturally, some may prefer to extend their day out and return to the welcome of our fireside a little later, and so today is a B&B offering with optional Dinner. The fire is lit and awaits your return from our day enjoying the stunning Perthshire sights. Warm your soul with some Winter Pimms or savour a fine malt and enjoy the company of new-found friends.

Prices for our 3-night Hogmanay Break – 1 Night DBB, with Hogmanay Dinner and Piper, New Year’s Day Brunch, Street Ceilidh and option for dinner on the 30th Dec and 1st and 2nd January evenings.
Tariff for Hogmanay (2 person rate – 3 nights)
- an Economy twin/double room – 3 nights – £560 per room
- a Regular double room – 3 nights – £610 per room
- a Premium twin/double room – 3 nights – £700 per room
- a Junior Suite – 3 nights – £795 per room LAST REMAINING ROOM
Dogs are most welcome in 50% of all room types at an additional charge of £7.50 per dog per night.
Arrival 30th /31st December, depart 2nd/3rd/4th January.
Bookable with £200 deposit, refundable only for cancellations before 1st November. The balance is due by 1st December and is, regrettably, non-refundable in case of cancellation. Holiday Cancellation Insurance is recommended for this particular break
